Tactacam DEFEND Launches “Defend the American Workforce” to Support American Trades Workers

New long-term initiative to bolster the next generations of skilled labor through direct investments in education, training, equipment and more

BILLINGS, Montana, Oct. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tactacam — America’s leading manufacturer of advanced outdoor camera technology — today announces “Defend the American Workforce,” a long-term initiative designed to invest in the hard-working people who keep families, businesses, and communities thriving by doing the work we all depend on.

“Defend the American Workforce” by DEFEND aims to create tangible ways to stand behind working Americans and shore up the nationwide gap in the skilled trade workforce. The initial program launching in October 2026, titled “Blue Collar Scholar,” will provide support to those pursuing or intending to pursue careers in the skilled trades.

In 2026, DEFEND will award $150,000 total across multiple recipients to help cover education, training, certifications, licensing, and other costs associated with pursuing a career in the trades. The brand intends to grow the initiative to include multiple programs over time and support other industries and pursuits.

Eligible applicants can apply by filling out a form and submitting a 3-5 minute video about themselves, their future career goals in the trades, and how funds from "Blue Collar Scholar” would support their goals. Applications will be reviewed monthly and selected recipients will be notified each month. Nominations will be accepted alongside applications starting on October 1st, 2026.
